By aligning SmartBug's expertise with our clients' unique business realities, we build scalable, innovative tools that become engines for growth, setting the course for long-term success.The Sr. Manager, Project Management (LOB) is responsible for overseeing project execution and delivery standards within a defined Line of Business. Reporting to the Director, PMO, this role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to established governance frameworks. The Manager serves as the operational leader for Project Managers within their LOB, driving consistency, accountability, and delivery excellence while partnering closely with Account Management, Strategy, and WFM to support capacity alignment and client stability. This role owns execution discipline — not client strategy or revenue ownership.\nResponsibilities Oversee active project portfolio within assigned LOBEnsure projects are delivered on time and within budget & scopeMonitor project health indicators and proactively mitigate riskEscalate systemic issues to Director, PMOManage and develop Project Managers within the LOBProvide coaching on timeline management, scope control, and cross-functional coordinationConduct performance reviews and development planningReinforce accountability and consistent execution standardsEnsure adoption of PMO standards, tools, and documentation practicesAudit project plans for compliance and qualityDrive continuous improvement of execution workflowsPartner with AMs to ensure alignment between scope and delivery plansCollaborate with Strategists to support execution feasibilityWork with WFM to align staffing with workload forecastsIdentify delivery risks early and implement corrective action plansSupport PMs in navigating complex client or scope challengesElevate high-impact risks to Director, PMO when necessaryTrack LOB-level delivery KPIs (on-time delivery, utilization, margin impact, etc.)Provide regular updates to Director, PMO on portfolio healthSupport data-driven decision-making across the LOBRequired Skills & Experience 6–10+ years in project management within a services or agency environment2+ years managing or mentoring project managersStrong knowledge of project lifecycle management and governance frameworksExperience working within task-based systems (e.g., Teamwork, Asana, Monday, etc.)Strong risk management and prioritization skillsAbility to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authorityStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications Experience within marketing, digital, or professional services organizationsPMP or equivalent certificationExperience partnering closely with WFM or resource management functionsExperience operating within a centralized PMO modelExposure to financial tracking or margin management within projects\n$80,000 - $100,000 a year\n
