We are seeking a Design System to join our MADI Design System team.This role is ideal for a senior design systems contributor who leads component architecture and governs system adoption across product areas. You will own workstream-level scope within our MADI Design System, driving design-to-code alignment with engineering and ensuring consistent, accessible UI across a portfolio of products. What You’ll Do:Design Systems & UILead component architecture for assigned product areas, defining patterns and structures others build fromDesign scalable UI components that support multiple products and use casesBuild and manage components, variants, and documentation in FigmaApply accessibility best practices (WCAG, ADA) to system componentsLead system adoption governance for assigned product areas, ensuring teams apply components correctly and consistentlyDesign-to-Code & Engineering CollaborationDrive design-to-code alignment with front-end engineers, resolving implementation gaps and maintaining fidelity across productsApply fluency in React component structures to extend Madi for AI-native patterns (loading states, confidence indicators, conversational UI primitives)Own component handoff documentation and govern implementation quality, conducting QA reviews against design intentCollaborate on refining component patterns based on engineering and product feedbackAI & Continuous ImprovementApply fluency with AI-assisted design-to-code tools to accelerate component development and documentation; govern AI content quality for assigned featuresStay informed on emerging design system, front-end, and AI practicesContribute ideas to improve how the design system scales and evolvesCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with product designers, product managers, and engineers across teamsClearly communicate design intent, guidelines, and system usageProvide thoughtful design feedback and support to system contributorsHelp teams understand how and when to use system components effectivelyWhat We’re Looking For:Experience6–9 years of experience in UI or product design for digital products3+ years of experience leading or making significant contributions to a design system, including component governance and adoptionExperience collaborating with front-end engineers on component-based UIExposure to enterprise, multi-product, or regulated environments is a plusTechnical & Design SkillsStrong proficiency in Figma, including components and shared librariesWorking knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principlesFluency with React-based design systems and component-driven development; able to evaluate implementation quality against design intentUnderstanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA)Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teamsProfessional SkillsComfortable working independently in a contract environmentStrong collaboration and communication skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesCurious mindset with interest in growing design system and technical skillsNice to Have:Experience with AI-assisted design tools or workflowsFamiliarity with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience ManagerExperience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industriesAdditional Information:This is a contract role supporting enterprise-scale digital productsPortfolio demonstrating UI systems, components, or scalable design work is required  Pay Transparency Salary Range: $111,500-$159,000  Overtime eligible: Exempt  Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes  Sales bonus eligible: No  Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
