About the Role:Capitalize is looking for a Marketing Director to build and own our demand generation and revenue marketing function. The ideal candidate is someone who can own qualified pipeline and marketing-sourced revenue, not just brand awareness, and who can bring the discipline, data, and prioritization skills to move our marketing function from reactive to proactive.Key Responsibilities:Own and grow qualified pipeline and marketing-sourced revenue, through building and scaling a repeatable demand generation engine across events, webinars, partnerships, outbound, and inbound channelsPartner closely with sales—without functioning as a sales-enablement resource. Build lead segmentation and nurture strategies (distinguishing true marketing-qualified leads from all form fills) and refine our marketing/sales SLA so sales focuses on the warmest leads while marketing nurtures the restDevelop Capitalize's annual marketing plan, including plans that support our strategic partners and their ideal customer profiles (ICPs). Deep expertise in each partner's ICP isn't required, but you should think strategically about how partnerships connect to departmental goals and revenue targetsBuild a strategic marketing roadmap aligned to company goals, and strengthen alignment across marketing, sales, product, executive leadership, and delivery teamsEstablish strong marketing attribution and reporting, with a consistent cadence that gives leadership real visibility into what's workingOversee digital marketing performance, including website strategy, SEO, SEM, and GEO (generative engine optimization). Website build and development work is outsourced, so this is a strategy and performance role, not a hands-on coding oneDig into existing marketing and CRM data (including data in Pipedrive) to identify where to focus effortPrioritize across a growing volume of requests from across the business and push back when needed—with clear reasoning leadership can get behindWork on growing and developing the marketing team, identifying skill gaps, and implementing strategies to address themQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ experience in marketing rolesProven experience owning pipeline and marketing-sourced revenue as a metric you're evaluated on—not just brand awareness or campaign activityExperience building demand generation programs across multiple channels: events, webinars, partnerships, outbound, and inboundComfort working with strategic partners and building annual marketing plans that account for partner ICPs and revenue goalsStrong marketing analytics skills, including comfort working with imperfect or messy CRM dataExperience improving marketing attribution, reporting, and lead segmentation/nurture practicesA track record of aligning marketing with sales, product, and delivery teams in a cross-functional environmentA strong communicator who can quickly synthesize fast-moving, sometimes unstructured direction from leadership into clear prioritiesConsulting or professional-services marketing experience is a plus—understanding *Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
