Responsible for field forecasting, deficit avoidance and adherence to policy and procedure.Develop and execute strategies around retailer intensification that ensure successful retailer openings and ongoing business – factoring in overage rent, percentage rent, lease terminations, underperforming and highly productive stores. Be able to adapt to a swiftly changing retail climateCollaborate with all key stakeholders in driving foot traffic and maximizing sales performance across assigned centers through strategic marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and community engagementDrive the field public relations strategy and manage PR during a crisis.Coordinate field needs with corporate marketing, including on-going engagement in strategies around paid media, digital marketing, creative development, cause marketing and customer experience.Collaborate closely with Regional Manager of Marketing Partnerships to create and execute programs to drive sponsorship revenue and support retailers for assigned region.Share successful programs through measurable results to appropriate constituents.Analyze center sales and demographics and interpret data to identify solutions that build traffic/increase sales or to improve any marketing-related concerns derived from such data.Partner with the General Manager and People & Culture to recruit, hire and train Marketing Directors to build a strong and productive marketing organization. Oversee on-boarding and play an active role in coaching and development.Partner with the General Manager, RVP-Property Management, and People & Culture in the administration of marketing personnel matters including Marketing Director reviews, wage/salary increases, succession planning and conflict resolution.Conduct property visits and review progress against goals and objectives in addition to brand representation on site.Facilitate communication, training, and other resources to field to ensure flawless implementation of corporate partner programs, national programs and sponsorshipsServe as a liaison to property management, leasing, development, partners, retailers and short-term leasing regarding marketing strategiesCommunicate with SVP, Asset Management, SVP, Marketing and VP, Strategic Marketing to keep them continuously informed of strategies, changes, issues, opportunities, etc.COMPETENCIES: This list is illustrative only and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate othersAbility to build relationships to increase performance, team cohesion and engagementMust be a strategic thinker that can execute and drive business resultsAggregate local, regional and national market data to support strategic marketing decision-makingThis role involves analyzing consumer behavior, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with retailers and stakeholders to implement traffic-driving programs.Analyze the impact of sponsors, partnerships and/or media involvement for center promotions.Analyze successes and weaknesses and adapt tactics based on factors.Ability to understand metrics, to select relevant and insightful metrics and employ evidence-based decision making and support key decisions with data analysis.Solid attention to detail with strong organization and project management skills.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skillsProven ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet multiple deadlinesAbility to read, write and comprehend the English languageAdhere to Tanger’s Core Values: Integrity, Inclusion, and InnovationREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in marketing or business and up to 12 years’ experience in strategic marketing or any combination of equivalent education and experience.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Master’s Degree with up to 6 years’ related experience.Experience in shopping center marketing or retail a plusTRAVEL: This position requires 20% to 25% travel.  Must be able to travel via commercial airlines.  Must maintain a valid driver’s license and can operate own vehicle or rental car in a safe manner.Experience the difference and be a part of our extraordinary team! Hiring Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
