Job Description

As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for complex questions around sports betting and online gaming together in a team of highly skilled Mathematicians.

Reporting to Quantitative Manager, you will be part of our Product team who are responsible for improving the performance of our mathematical models, which are used in products dealing with hundreds of millions of pounds, and thereby directly influence the company results.

What you will do 

  • Build, implement and maintain mathematical and probability models for sports betting and Customer Management based on sound mathematical principles.
  • Follow a data-driven approach by collecting information from databases and bookmakers.
  • Work with Trading teams, key stakeholders, and product managers to understand requirements for trading and risk management tools continually monitor the market to assess competitor activity to identify opportunities, threats and learnings that can be applied to the business.
  • Demonstrate technical skills and abilities with technologies used.
  • Act as a conduit between Trading, IT, and other key stakeholders being able to explain mathematical models to non-mathematicians such as Trading Operations, Client Risk etc. in the delivery of trading and risk management tools.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you’ve already worked with quantitative finance modelling or a similar role within the gaming industry or exposure to a trading department where modelling / quant data research has been practiced.
  • Experience in finding patterns in data and applying machine learning techniques to derive models
  • A highly organised and structured approach to work.
  • Keen on challenges that require you to head into the unknown in search of a novel solution, and you have the drive to deliver it in full detail.
  • An understanding of agile development methodologies would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Mathematica, R (or some other statistical software), SQL and F# (.NET & OOP) is an advantage.
