In this role, you will be embedded with the client's Infrastructure marketing team, focusing on Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery, as well as related third-party BCDR offerings, to craft a cohesive story for customers and the field.You will own inbound product marketing activities (messaging frameworks, content development, go-to-market planning) for Azure’s backup and disaster recovery portfolio, shaping the product narrative and roadmap impact for this space. This position calls for a strategic, hands-on marketer who is technically savvy (Azure cloud knowledge at least L100-200 level) and action-oriented, able to work through complexity and ambiguity to develop and execute clear, compelling marketing programs. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Narrative & Messaging:Develop and articulate a comprehensive marketing narrative for Azure’s backup and disaster recovery solutions, including both Microsoft services and key partner (ISV) integrations.Create and maintain core messaging and positioning frameworks (MPFs) that clearly communicate product value and differentiation to different audiences and business segments across all marketing assets.Content Development & Launch Planning:Develop and execute the product marketing strategy and core content (pitch decks, demos, solution briefs, customer success stories, etc.).Plan and lead product launches and announcements for new BCDR features or services—crafting compelling value propositions, messaging, and positioning to drive awareness and adoption.Manage go-to-market (GTM) plans, launch timelines, and cross-team readiness to ensure all stakeholders (engineering, sales, partner teams) are aligned on the launch strategy.Go-to-Market Execution:Drive integrated marketing motions and field enablement initiatives to amplify Azure’s BCDR solutions in the marketDevelop sales enablement materials (pitch decks, battlecards, FAQs) to equip field teams and partners to effectively sell Azure’s BCDR capabilities.Ensure that the Azure Backup/Site Recovery value proposition is consistently communicated across first- and third-party channels and marketing programs.Represent the team across central marketing v-teams, ensuring our product and GTM strategy for BCDR is effectively executed in the field, in customer/partner briefings, and at events and key marketing moments.Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop session content for relevant first-party and third-party events or webinars to raise awareness and drive engagement with Azure’s backup and disaster recovery capabilities.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, partner teams, and central marketing teams to drive alignment on BCDR strategy and execution.Work with Azure engineering/product teams to understand the roadmap, provide marketing input on product direction, and ensure readiness for launches.Partner with field sales, account teams, and global partner marketing to incorporate their feedback and ensure our content and campaigns meet the needs of enterpriseDrive Execution & Results:Operate with a hands-on, results-driven mindset, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Take initiative to navigate through organizational processes (e.g. Microsoft internal review cycles, processes, etc.) and drive marketing projects from concept to completion.Bring structure to ambiguity, proactively solve problems, and keep execution on track – all while maintaining high quality standards.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5–8+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, or related rolesAbility to quickly learn technical products and features at a level sufficient to translate them into customer-facing benefits and storiesAn understanding of cloud infrastructure and operations and how these relate to resiliency and business continuityMust be comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineers and customersPreferred QualificationsAzure Fundamentals or similar certification as a foundationDirect experience with Azure or similar BCDR technologyPartner ecosystem understandingThe base salary range for this position is $106.087k-$166,709k, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance.
