This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and go-to-market strategy. You will be the voice of the market inside Matia and the voice of Matia in the market.This is a high-impact, cross-functional position for someone who understands the modern data stack, can translate complex technical capabilities into compelling narratives, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.What You'll DoPositioning and MessagingOwn Matia's core positioning, messaging framework, and value proposition across segments and personasDevelop clear, differentiated narratives that resonate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and data leadersEnsure consistent messaging across all channels and customer touchpointsContent Strategy and CreationTranslate and work with contractors to position into high-impact content including website copy, product pages, blog posts, thought leadership, and technical explainersDevelop persona-specific content that drives awareness, consideration, and conversionPartner with demand generation to align content with campaign strategy and pipeline goalsSupport brand and social media effortsGo-To-Market ExecutionLead product launches end-to-end, coordinating across product, sales, and marketingPartner with demand generation on campaigns, content strategy, and pipeline programs, including develop account lists based on ICPBuild and maintain sales collateral including decks, one-pagers, battlecards, and objection-handling guidesSupport field marketing efforts with messaging, potential on-site presence, and other elementsMarket and Competitive IntelligenceConduct ongoing research into buyer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscapeDevelop and maintain competitive positioning and differentiation materialsSurface insights from customers, prospects, and the broader data community to inform strategySupport analyst relationships and position Matia for success in their papers and researchSales and Customer EnablementEnable the sales team with the tools, training, and content they need to tell a compelling storyPartner with customer success to develop retention and expansion messagingCapture and operationalize customer proof points, case studies, and ROI narrativesWhat We're Looking For4 or more years in product marketing in B2B SaaS; at least 2 of those years should be in data infrastructure company; We’re flexible here - we love candidates that have lived the pain before and been a data engineerFamiliarity with the dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, or broader data tooling ecosystem through prior rolesStrong understanding of the modern data stack including warehouses, ETL/ELT, observability, and governanceProven ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for both technical and business audiencesExperience partnering closely with product, sales, partnership and demand generation teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in leveraging AI to get sh*t doneStartup experience and comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment; you will be the first product marketing hire here and need to feel comfortable traversing with a lean product teamNice to HavesPrior experience in a technical role such as data engineer, data analyst, analytics engineer, or solutions engineerExperience building PMM function or programs from zero to oneHow to ApplyPlease submit your application through our company’s job board.This role requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Matia Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
