DescriptionAs a Product Manager I at Verisk, you are responsible for leading an empowered product team to deliver meaningful outcomes—not just features. You will work closely with your tech lead and product designer as a trio to deeply understand user needs, uncover opportunities, and co-create valuable solutions for the property insurance industry. Your focus is on problem ownership, not feature requests, as you develop strong product intuition and take accountability for solving customer and business problems in scalable, sustainable ways.     ResponsibilitiesAbout the Day to Day Responsibilities of the RoleDiscovery & Problem FramingLead discovery efforts with the trio to deeply understand the problem spaceValidate product ideas with real users through interviews, shadowing, and testingPrioritize opportunities based on desirability (customer), viability (business), feasibility (engineering), and usability (design)Delivery & Outcome FocusTranslate validated opportunities into clear user stories, requirements, and success criteriaManage a transparent backlog that reflects current priorities and expected outcomesEnsure continuous delivery of valuable iterations that can be measured and learned fromPartner with engineering and QA to deliver high-quality, usable, and performant solutionsEstablish, communicate, and manage the release cadence of the productMetrics & LearningDefine and track success metrics for the features and problems your team ownsUse analytics tools, support tickets, and qualitative feedback to drive product decisionsValidate impact using data and adjust direction as neededConduct research using industry trends, market data, and customer feedback to inform product improvementsTrack and report product progress, including the success or failure of each initiativeStakeholder Communication & AlignmentMake product decisions within established frameworks and under the guidance of senior product leadersKeep stakeholders informed and engaged without compromising team autonomyCollaborate cross-functionally with claims operations, marketing, sales, and customer success teamsContribute to quarterly planning by connecting team-level initiatives to company OKRsRepresent the product during customer calls, internal and external meetings, and other key eventsSupport product leadership in developing, communicating, and executing the strategy for property estimating solutionsAdditional responsibilities include completing all performance objectives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
