The Product Manager II is a mid-level role responsible for owning the product roadmap, guiding backlog strategy, and aligning delivery with customer needs and business goals. Building on foundational Product Owner capabilities, this role deepens product strategy, stakeholder coaching, and cross-domain alignment. The Product Manager II collaborates closely with product developers, Agile Team Leads, and stakeholders to shape and communicate a product vision, prioritize work based on value, and ensure delivery is both iterative and outcome driven.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain a prioritized, well-structured product backlog with granular top items and epic- level bottom itemsOrganize backlog into priority groups and release targets; adjust forecasts based on Sprint Review outcomesWrite INVEST-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria and support Definition of Done disciplineDrive backlog refinement with business and technical stakeholders; clarify scope and intent during refinementBalance short-term delivery needs with long-term roadmap planning and milestone alignmentCapture emergent requirements and maintain backlog hygiene for example, by pruning outdated items or surfacing dependenciesUse product metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, customer feedback) to inform decisions and track scope/schedule driftFacilitate stakeholder alignment across multiple domains and negotiate scope tradeoffsCollaborate with Agile Team Leads to escalate risks and dependencies when neededShape and communicate a product vision that reflects customer empathy and business strategyParticipate actively in Scrum events, such as planning and review, and support team understanding of product goalsCoach stakeholders in backlog management and technical debt tradeoffs for example, by visualizing impact on delivery or surfacing refactoring opportunitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field6+ years of experience in Agile product ownership or related rolesThis is a remote position.
