If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.Position SummaryCaris Life Sciences Biopharma Business Development (BBD) is looking for a full-time Product Manager to support our next-generation sequencing (NGS) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Product Strategy and will be responsible for leading and supporting the lifecycle management of diagnostic products designed for biopharma clients. This role works closely with cross-functional partners to translate scientific, technical, and customer needs into clear product requirements and execution plans. Success in this role requires product management experience combined with strong scientific acumen in genomics profiling, including familiarity with sequencing data workflows and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders. The position is well suited for a self-motivated, collaborative candidate who is comfortable working in a matrixed and dynamic working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Lifecycle OwnershipLead and support the product lifecycle for sequencing (profiling) offerings, including roadmap maintenance, launch planning, post-launch optimization, and sunset decisions.Contribute to and maintain Product Profiles, Target Product Profiles (TPPs), and positioning documents aligned to biopharma use cases.Partner with the Director of Product Strategy to ensure alignment with portfolio-level strategy and long-term business objectives.Continuously assess customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging sequencing technologies to inform roadmap evolution.Technical & Data Workflow ExpertiseServe as the product subject-matter expert for sequencing data workflows, including: Sequencing file types (e.g., FASTQ, BAM, VCF), File transfer, synchronization, versioning, and data integrity, Metadata management and downstream analysis considerationsCollaborate closely with bioinformatics and lab operations to translate scientific and technical requirements into scalable product capabilities.Ensure product requirements account for data volume, throughput, quality control, and interoperability with customer systems.Execution, Planning & CommunicationMaintain product timelines, milestone plans, and track dependencies to support customer focused and deliverable products.Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Commercial Enablement & EducationSupport marketing to develop messaging, launch materials, and customer-facing content.Support sales team education and enablement, including training sessions, FAQs, and objection-handling materials.Develop into a product expert in customer discussions, advisory boards, and select biopharma partner engagements.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences e.g. Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data analysis, product management, product strategy, or technical commercialization within NGS, genomics, or molecular diagnostics.Background working with laboratory-developed tests, sequencing services, NGS data files, and data management workflows.Experience working cross-functionally with scientific, technical, and commercial teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business value.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting biopharma customers (drug discovery, translational research, clinical development).Exposure to regulated or near-regulated environments (research use, clinical, or CDx-adjacent).Physical DemandsWill work at a computer most of the time, with some time spent collaborating with subject matter experts and business group leaders either in person or through remote conferencing.Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail.Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeTrainingAll job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.OtherJob may require after-hours response to emergency issues.This position may require periodic travel and some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.Annual Hiring Range$120,000 - $150,000Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
