About RuneRune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. Our flagship product is TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that gives commanders a single, real-time operating picture of their sustainment fight, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning, even in degraded and contested environments. We're not a traditional defense contractor. We're a small, fast-moving team that combines deep operational experience in and with the DoD with the software discipline of the best product companies, and we apply that combination to a customer set that desperately needs it. We stay close to our users by embedding directly with military units during exercises and rotations, and we ship constantly based on what we learn. The U.S. military and its allies face a real logistics modernization problem. We're building the software to solve it.About the RoleA logistics officer planning a resupply across contested terrain has minutes to make decisions that move thousands of tons of equipment and shape whether an operation succeeds. The software they use to make those calls is the difference between the right plan and the wrong one. That’s the product problem at Rune. The capabilities we choose to build – and how we scope, sequence, and ship them – determine how commanders see their fight, plan their sustainment, and hold their operating picture together when conditions degrade. Product strategy is how we win. We’re looking for a Product Manager with strong technical instincts, sharp product judgment, and the agency to own significant pieces of TyrOS end-to-end. You’ll partner with engineering, design, mission managers, and growth to define our roadmap, scope and ship our most complex capabilities, and stay close to users in the field. You’ll have more direct access to real users in real conditions than almost anywhere else you could work. This is our second product hire. You’ll have strong influence on what we build, how we build it, and how the product function takes shape as we grow. What You'll DoOwn product strategy and roadmap for major areas of TyrOS, from problem framing through shipped capability and iterationDefine and ship our most complex features working hand-in-hand with engineering on architecture, tradeoffs, and what’s actually buildableEmbed with military units during exercises and rotations to learn the domain firsthand, build trust with users, and translate field reality into product directionPartner tightly with design to turn complex problems into intuitive product experiences that hold up under pressureWork closely with our growth and mission success team to understand customer and contract context, and translate it into prioritized product workBring a strong point of view to cross-functional discussions: advocate for the right bets, push back on the wrong ones, and make tradeoffs explicitQualifications3+ years as a product manager and 6-10+ years of total professional experience, with a track record of owning meaningful product surfaces end-to-endTechnical credibility – a CS background, prior engineering experience, or equivalent depth that lets you go deep with engineers on architecture, capabilities, and tradeoffs.
