While hunger andmalnutrition are the world’s largest solvable issues, the needs are still immense and growing. 821 million people in the world suffer from chronic hunger.The Private Partnerships Division (PSP) is responsible for engaging the private sector (corporations, individuals, foundations) through high-impact partnerships in support of WFP's strategic priorities,and through individual giving to build and retain support from the public worldwide. PSP has embarked on an exceptionally ambitious new strategy 2020-2025 to raise an additional one billiondollars for hungry or malnourished people and to expand the contribution to WFP from the business sector through effective and sustainable long-term partnerships as well as from private individual supporters around the world. This includes securing new high impact technical partnerships, signing significant new corporate deals and growing existing relationships as well as building a base of one million individual supporters. Our strategy and ambition are based on need. WFP was reaching morethan 90 million people in 83 countries, and we now know that we will be called on to reach many millions more because of the pandemic.Joining PSP is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to co-develop and implement our new private partnerships and fundraising strategy.PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENTThe United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. ShareTheMeal is WFP’s fundraising and awareness-raising app. Free to download, theaward-winning app is a pioneering way for people to join our efforts in creating a world with zero hunger.ShareTheMeal currently has more than 9.3 million users worldwide, who have shared more than 160 million meals (US$ 100 million). WFP is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy for individual giving, andShareTheMeal is a key driver for this strategy going forward. The team, located in Berlin and remotely, is focused on increasing the funds raised to help get to zero hunger by further developing the app toinclude new and innovative features, increasing the engagement of existing users and growing the user base through marketing and communication initiatives. As the user base has grown, there is a significantopportunity to increase funds raised from existing users and deliver an exceptional experience to build a long-term relationship with each supporter.ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIESThe Consultant, reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing of ShareTheMeal, is expected to:Develop a strategy and plan campaigns on Facebook.• Develop and maintain a pipeline of fundraising campaigns across, Facebook Web & App .Build and optimize campaigns & monitor performance.• Build/launch campaigns on Google, Facebook, and other channels where necessary• Build new segmentation strategies, explore new targeting approaches and paid media platforms.• Monitor financial performance of campaigns and perform thorough data analysis to identify and address areas of optimization.• Optimize and improve campaign performance (creatives, audiences, placements)• Manage and move budgets across campaigns and audiences to maximize financial returns.• Develop a pipeline of priority tests and execute them, collaborating with data/insights team to draw reliable conclusions and reportable insights.• Contribute insightful commentary and analysis to the Supporter Experience Team reports and presentations.Optimize CRO• Improve the conversion rate optimization (CRO) by refining the landing pages on the FacebookAds• Leverage competitor analysis strategiesProduction & Management of Creatives• Rely on previous data and insights to develop and own highly effective fundraising appeals for digital channels i.e., copywriting, fact-checking, scriptwriting, briefing designers/video producers).• Coordinate the fundraising creative used on paid platforms through internal clearance processes and address/manage any creative feedback.• Lead on campaigns developed externally with the creative agency, including briefing and project management.Other• Stay abreast of sector trends in major donor fundraising, supporter experience and engagement and bring relevant learnings to the team.• Work with our existing global systems, policies, and processes to deliver the objectives of this role in a compliant, collaborative, and efficient way.DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT• Key campaigns are prepared and executed in a timely manner and to high quality standards.• Impact of the campaigns is measured and documented; the reports are handed over to the Head ofMarketing• A portfolio of highly efficient retention campaigns (primarily Facebook) that successfully maximizefunds from existing supporters globally, in line with agreed fundraising targets.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Education :Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is preferred.Experience 3-5 years of relevant national or international experience in Marketing, Brand management or Communications, work experience with non-profit brand management is a strong advantage.Knowledge & Skills : Strong understanding of aesthetics in social media, product, web design and online marketing• Strong project management skills• Strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative; ability to produce high quality written materials.• Mature judgment with strong interpersonal skills• Collaborative spirit able to consult with a wide range of people at all levels and across diverse cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy.• Strong time management skills with an ability to plan, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, and to work to tight deadlines.• Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.• Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the World Food ProgrammeLanguage(s) High proficiency in written and spoken English required, knowledge of other UNlanguages is a plusWFP LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK WFP Leadership Framework guides to the common standards of behavior that guide HOW we work together to accomplish our mission.Click here to access WFP Leadership Framework REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION WFP is committed to supporting individuals with disabilities by providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process.
