The ideal candidate will bring familiarity with GIS technology (particularly Esri products) to better understand and communicate our technical offerings, while also driving compelling visual storytelling for proposals, managing our presence on professional social platforms, supporting conference and event materials, conducting competitive market analysis, and optimizing our digital content for search visibility.This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical subject matter and persuasive marketing communication, particularly within industries such as engineering support, geospatial services, environmental consulting, or government contracting.Key ResponsibilitiesGIS and Technical Marketing SupportDevelop a working understanding of GIS concepts and Esri technology (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, etc.) sufficient to accurately translate technical capabilities into clear marketing and proposal languageCollaborate with technical/GIS staff to gather content, visuals, and maps for marketing materialsBusiness Development and Proposal SupportPartner with the business development team to develop visually compelling graphics, layouts, and design elements for proposals, capability statements, and pursuit materialsHelp structure proposal content to improve readability, persuasiveness, and win themesEnsure brand consistency and professional polish across all submitted materialsProfessional Social Media ManagementManage and grow the company's presence across professional social networks, with a primary focus on LinkedInDevelop and execute content calendars, posts, and campaigns tailored to cross-platform best practicesTrack engagement metrics and adjust strategy to improve reach and audience growthConference and Event CollateralPrepare marketing collateral for conferences, trade shows, and industry events (banners, handouts, presentation materials, digital assets)Coordinate logistics and timelines for collateral production ahead of eventsCompetitive and Market AnalysisConduct ongoing competitive analysis of industry peers, including brand positioning, messaging, and marketing tacticsSynthesize findings into actionable insights for leadership and business development teamsSEO and Digital ContentApply SEO best practices to website content, blog posts, and digital marketing materialsMonitor keyword performance and search rankings, recommending optimization strategiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, GIS/Geography, or related field (or equivalent experience)Two to five years of marketing experience, ideally within a technical, engineering, AEC, or government contracting environmentFamiliarity with GIS concepts; exposure to Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) strongly preferredStrong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent)Demonstrated experience managing professional social media platforms, especially LinkedInWorking knowledge of SEO principles and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, particularly around proposal submissions and event timelinesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting government or federal proposal processes (RFP/RFQ responses)Prior experience in geospatial, environmental, civil engineering, or infrastructure industriesExperience with competitive intelligence tools or market research platformsFamiliarity with CRM or proposal management software (e.g., Deltek, Zoho)Core CompetenciesVisual storytelling and design sensibilityTechnical curiosity and ability to learn industry-specific tools (GIS/Esri)Strategic thinking applied to competitive analysisDigital marketing fluency (social + SEO)Collaborative, deadline-driven mindset
