Base location of IN, MI, OH, PA, AZ, or UT preferred but not required. This is a travel heavy position and travel is within an assigned territory.The Marketing Representative supports the Company’s premium goals via interaction with agents, associates, policyholders, and other internal and external customers. This position is responsible for fostering mutually beneficial business relationships with agents and brokers, serving as the main communication link between agents and the Company. The Marketing Representative is responsible for monitoring the market to evaluate the Company’s competitive position with regard to products and pricing.Essential Functions Serving as the agents’ advocate for the Company and the Company’s advocate for the agentsTraining and development of agents and staff with respect to the Company’s products, procedures, and servicesReviewing and analyzing agency production and loss results and working to help those agents meet their agency and Company goalsMonitoring industry trends as well as products and rates offered by other commercial lines carriers to evaluate the competitive market position of the CompanySuccessfully implementing the Marketing Plan in an assigned territory to achieve Company goals and objectivesAssisting in the facilitation of agent events such as Agents Advisory Council and CSR Advisory CouncilAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsFour-year degree in marketing or related field of study or a minimum five years equivalent experience with a minimum of two years marketing experience in the insurance industryFamiliarity with basic underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures is a plusIntermediate level Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to prepare business correspondence and reportsAbility to analyze marketing data and prepare reports, statements, and projectionsDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of the organizational structure, programs, and processesAbility to respond to non-routine inquiries from agents, policyholders, vendors, and associatesAbility to solve practical problems where standardization existsAbility to effectively manage multiple tasks accurately and efficientlyMust be a licensed driver and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residenceRewardsThe ability to have a direct impact on the success of a small, but growing organizationOpportunities to grow and advance through our Personal Professional Development ProgramParticipation in a comprehensive health plan, flexible work schedule, remote work opportunities, Retirement Plan, and Profit Sharing Bonus program!
