About the RoleWe’re looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to own and evolve the systems, infrastructure, and processes that power our marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from the ground up, and is passionate about creating scalable, high-impact marketing operations.In this role, you’ll directly impact pipeline generation, campaign performance, and the efficiency of our revenue engine.You’ll help ensure campaigns execute smoothly, leads are managed effectively, and performance insights are clear and actionable. From CRM and email infrastructure to lead routing and campaign tracking, you will play a central role in enabling marketing to drive pipeline.What You’ll DoOwn Marketing Infrastructure & SystemsManage and optimize our marketing tech stack, including Marketo or HubSpot, Salesforce, and integration toolsOversee email marketing infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and strong deliverabilityBuild and maintain integrations across tools (e.g., Zapier, AI tools like Claude, internal systems)Lead Routing & Lifecycle ManagementDesign and optimize lead routing logic across inbound channels (web, campaigns, events)Ensure leads are accurately captured, enriched, and routed to the right teams in a timely mannerPartner with Sales and RevOps to continuously improve lead flow and conversionCampaign Operations & TrackingSupport Demand Generation by enabling campaign setup, tracking, and performance measurementEnsure clean attribution and reporting across campaigns and channelsTroubleshoot campaign performance issues and identify optimization opportunitiesWeb, SEO & Conversion FlowsPartner with Web/Engineering (e.g., Vercel) and SEO stakeholders to ensure proper tracking and lead captureDiagnose and fix breakdowns in the lead journey from form submission to CRM entryEvent OperationsBuild scalable processes for capturing and routing leads from events (virtual and in-person)Ensure timely follow-up and accurate attribution of event-sourced pipelineReporting & InsightsOwn marketing data hygiene and reporting infrastructureBuild dashboards and workflows that provide clear visibility into marketing performance and pipeline contributionProcess Improvement & AutomationIdentify inefficiencies and proactively design solutions to streamline workflowsLeverage automation and AI to improve speed, accuracy, and scale across marketing operationsWhat We’re Looking For4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or startup environmentDeep expertise in Marketo or HubSpot, and strong working knowledge of SalesforceProven experience designing and managing lead routing and lifecycle workflowsHands-on experience with marketing integrations and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, APIs)Strong understanding of campaign tracking, attribution, and reportingExperience supporting web tracking, SEO, and lead capture flowsFamiliarity with modern data and tooling ecosystems (e.g., Vercel or similar platforms)Comfort working with AI tools and integrations (e.g., Claude) and a curiosity to experiment with new technologiesHighly self-motivated with a track record of owning projects end-to-endStrong cross-functional collaborator, especially with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and EngineeringNice to HaveExperience in event marketing operations and lead capture workflowsBackground in scaling marketing systems at an early- to mid-stage companyExperience improving email deliverability and infrastructureWhy join us?We are mission-driven: we work collaboratively towards our shared vision of improving scientific communication and accelerating scientific discovery.
