We work across strategy, design, technology, and marketing, with deep expertise in the Shopify and Klaviyo ecosystem.We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to own and execute 1r Agency’s day-to-day marketing engine across content, social, email, campaigns, events, client storytelling, and co-marketing.This is a hands-on role for someone who is equal parts strategist and doer. You’ll work closely with the VP of Growth & Marketing, Director of Business Development, agency leadership, and internal subject-matter experts to turn 1r’s work and expertise into marketing that builds awareness, demonstrates credibility, and supports new business growth.What You’ll OwnMarketing Strategy & PlanningPartner with the VP of Growth & Marketing to develop and execute 1r’s marketing strategy and prioritiesTranslate business and growth goals into focused marketing initiatives and campaignsDevelop and manage the marketing calendar, balancing short-term opportunities with longer-term brand and demand-generation initiativesIdentify opportunities to better leverage 1r’s expertise, client work, partnerships, and industry perspectiveEstablish clear priorities, processes, and ways of working across the marketing functionRecommend where internal resources, agency talent, freelancers, or external partners can best support executionContent, Thought Leadership, & SocialLead 1r’s content and thought leadership strategy across LinkedIn, email, website, and other priority channelsIdentify stories, insights, trends, and points of view worth bringing to marketDevelop and/or oversee thought leadership content for 1r leadership, including ghostwriting and founder POVMaintain a consistent and differentiated brand voice across channelsGuide the development of editorial content, campaign assets, downloadable resources, and other lead-generation contentUse performance insights to continuously improve content strategy and distributionClient Storytelling & Case StudiesBuild a consistent pipeline of compelling client stories, case studies, testimonials, and proof pointsIdentify strong stories within the work happening across 1rInterview clients and internal teams to uncover insights, results, and narrativesLead case studies from concept through publication, leveraging internal creative and marketing resources as appropriateDevelop systems for repurposing client successes across social, email, website, awards, and sales enablementLead the strategy and development of relevant industry award submissionsCampaigns, Email & Lead GenerationDevelop and oversee integrated campaigns tied to business priorities, industry trends, and customer needsLead the strategy for 1r’s email marketing and nurture initiativesDevelop lead-generation opportunities including reports, guides, audits, webinars, and other valuable contentPartner with internal subject-matter experts to turn agency expertise into market-facing contentDevelop campaign briefs and oversee execution across owned, social, email, website, and partner channelsEstablish measurement frameworks and use performance data to optimize campaignsCo-Marketing & PartnershipsWork closely with the Director of Business Development to turn 1r’s strategic partner relationships into meaningful marketing opportunities.Develop the marketing strategy for priority technology and ecosystem partnershipsIdentify and prioritize high-value co-marketing opportunitiesLead the development of joint webinars, content, campaigns, newsletter partnerships, and other activationsCollaborate with partner marketing teams on messaging, creative, promotion, and distributionEstablish repeatable processes for activating and measuring partner marketing opportunitiesThe Director of Business Development owns partner relationships and broader partnership strategy; the Fractional Director of Marketing owns the marketing strategy and activation of those relationships.Events & WebinarsDevelop the marketing strategy for priority conferences, industry events, webinars, and 1r-hosted experiencesBuild pre-event, onsite, and post-event marketing plansLead webinar strategy and execution in partnership with clients, partners, and internal expertsSupport the strategy and promotion of 1r-hosted dinners, networking events, and other experiencesPartner with Business Development on audience strategy, invitations, meeting generation, and follow-upMeasure event performance and identify opportunities to improve future programsWebsite & BrandGuide ongoing marketing content and messaging across the 1r websiteIdentify opportunities for new landing pages, service content, case studies, and thought leadershipPartner with internal design and development resources to execute marketing-related website initiativesHelp evolve 1r’s positioning, messaging, and brand presentation as the business growsEnsure new capabilities, client work, awards, and agency developments are reflected across relevant channelsMarketing Operations & MeasurementEstablish clear marketing processes, workflows, and prioritiesManage marketing projects across internal teams and external resourcesDevelop briefs, timelines, and accountability across initiativesMaintain organized marketing assets, templates, and content librariesMonitor performance across website, social, email, campaigns, and eventsDevelop regular reporting and insights for the VP of Growth & Marketing and agency leadershipContinuously identify opportunities to make 1r’s marketing more efficient, focused, and effectiveWhat We’re Looking ForYou’re a versatile B2B marketer who is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. You can see the bigger picture, but you’re equally comfortable writing the copy, building the brief, coordinating a webinar, updating a landing page, or getting a campaign across the finish line.Ideally, you have:Has 3–5 years of hands-on marketing experienceIs an excellent writer and editorHas experience creating content for LinkedIn, email, websites, and other digital channelsCan manage multiple marketing projects and deadlines at onceIs comfortable turning rough ideas into polished marketingHas experience supporting campaigns, events, webinars, or partnershipsIs highly organized and proactiveCan work cross-functionally with leadership, business development, account teams, and subject-matter expertsIs comfortable working in a fast-moving agency environmentHas an interest in ecommerce, digital marketing, Shopify, and the broader commerce ecosystemIs curious, resourceful, and willing to jump into whatever needs to get doneYou don't need to be an expert in every channel.
