The property features 50 rooms, our restaurant ONDA, a bar, heated saltwater pool with pool bar, gym, and spa — attracting an international crowd of travellers drawn to surf, design, food, and wellbeing.The RoleWe are looking for a Marketing Manager to lead local marketing for Aethos Ericeira, with responsibility for shaping, executing, and elevating the property’s marketing presence across all channels. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who can think big, execute precisely, and keep multiple plates spinning (without dropping them). You will own the local marketing plan, manage content and campaigns end-to-end, and act as the key bridge between the property and Aethos’ central Brand & Marketing team. You will report directly to the General Manager, with a dotted line to Aethos Brand Head Office.Key Responsibilities\nMarketing Strategy & LeadershipOwn and execute the annual and seasonal marketing plan for Aethos Ericeira, aligned with global brand strategy and commercial objectivesIdentify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, drive demand, and support room, F&B, and experience-led initiativesMonitor performance, trends, and results, translating insights into clear actions and improvementsContent & Creative DirectionLead the creation, curation, and rollout of all local marketing content across digital and printOversee copy, visuals, and storytelling to ensure consistency, quality, and strong brand alignmentPlan and manage photo and video shoots, coordinating internal teams and external creativesEnsure all touchpoints — from newsletters to event listings — are timely, relevant, and well executedDigital Presence & CommunityManage the property’s website content in collaboration with central teams, ensuring accuracy and freshnessOwn and manage all local social media channels, ensuring alignment with global strategy in collaboration with the Head of Social Media & Influencer Marketing.Lead community management, including engagement and guest review responses, with a strong brand voicePR, Influencers & PartnershipsManage local PR activity, including media requests, press materials, and coverage trackingCoordinate and host media and influencer stays, ensuring thoughtful itineraries and seamless experiencesSupport press releases and outreach in alignment with global brand positioningEvents & ActivationsLead the planning and execution of local marketing events, brand activations, and collaborationsManage guest lists, suppliers, partners, and post-event reportingOversee influencer collaborations during on-property staysCollaboration & ReportingWork closely with Brand, Sales, Revenue, and Operations teams to ensure aligned messaging and objectivesPrepare regular performance updates and reports for senior managementAct as the local guardian of brand standards and best practiceRequirements & ProfileFluent in English and Portuguese (native or near-native Portuguese preferred)4+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally within hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury sectorsStrong writing and editing skills in both English and PortugueseConfident managing multiple projects with a high level of organisation and attention to detailProficient in Canva and other design softwares (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) considered a plusStrong content creation skills and an eye for composition; photography skills are a plusExperience with email marketing platforms (Revinat preferred)Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownershipWhat We OfferAn executive, visible role with real ownership Flexible working arrangements and the possibility to work remotelyOngoing development and growth conversationsCareer progression opportunities within a fast-growing international brandEmployee rates + 1 free night per year across all Aethos destinationsComplimentary Aethos membershipFamily & Friends hotel ratesClose collaboration with the central Brand & Marketing leadership\nIf you are passionate about hospitality, brand storytelling, and building meaningful connections through your work — we would love to hear from you.Apply now at hr.ericeira@aethos.com and join the Aethos community.
