JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Intern serves the Lord by advancing Forest Home’s mission through creative, engaging, and brand-consistent marketing and communications across Forest Home’s Programs and Guest Retreats. This role supports the Marketing department through content creation, graphic design, organic social media, email marketing, and overall brand support. The Seasonal Marketing Intern assists with planning and creating organic social media content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn; designing marketing materials and email communications; writing and editing marketing copy; and collaborating with Forest Home’s photo and video team to ensure content needs across Programs and Guest Retreats are effectively captured and utilized. This role requires a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual with a strong eye for design, excellent written communication skills, and an ability to work independently in a remote environment. The ideal candidate is eager to grow professionally while using their creative gifts to help tell the story of Forest Home and invite more people to experience transformational encounters with Jesus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Brand & Creative Design: Create branded social graphics, flyers, presentations, email graphics, and other marketing assets; maintain consistency with Forest Home's visual identity and brand standards. Organic Social Media: Assist with planning the organic content calendar and create platform-specific content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn for leadership approval. Content & Copywriting: Write and edit social captions, email copy, promotional messaging, and other marketing communications while maintaining Forest Home's brand voice. Photo & Video Collaboration: Work with Forest Home's photo/video team to develop shot lists and creative priorities, communicate upcoming content needs, organize delivered assets, and identify opportunities to repurpose existing photo/video content. Email Marketing: Design and build emails in HubSpot, develop supporting graphics, and draft/edit email copy. Brand Stewardship: Review and create materials with attention to consistent use of logos, typography, colors, imagery, voice, and overall brand presentation. Marketing Asset Management: Help organize photography, video, graphics, templates, and other creative assets so the marketing team can easily locate and reuse them. Marketing Performance: Develop a basic understanding of organic social and email performance and use engagement/performance insights to inform future creative work. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field preferred Previous internship, coursework, volunteer experience, or hands-on experience in marketing, communications, social media, or graphic design preferred Portfolio or examples of creative work preferred QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
