Reporting to the Senior Manager of Content Strategy, the Content Specialist will help translate Squaremouth’s value proposition into powerful, revenue-driving long-form copy across our website.What You’ll DoOwn the creation of high-quality, search-intent-driven content across landing pages, long-form guides, blog articles, and email campaignsDevelop and optimize content that improves organic rankings, increases qualified traffic, and drives conversionsConduct keyword research and SERP analysis using tools such as ClearScope and SEMrush to identify content opportunities and gapsAnalyze performance using Google Analytics and Search Console to refine strategy, improve engagement, and maximize ROIContinuously refresh and optimize existing content to maintain rankings and improve user experienceMonitor competitor content strategies to ensure Squaremouth maintains a leadership position in travel insuranceIdentify timely, newsworthy travel and insurance trends to create content that captures emerging demandWhat We’re Looking ForA portfolio showcasing long-form and transactional copy is required for consideration for this role. 5+ years of copywriting experience working for an agency, in-house at a brand, or freelancing for B2C advertisers, preferably with a focus on direct response styleBachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related fieldExperience generating content for SEOProficiency in using tools like Surfer AI, ClearScope, and SEMRushA self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to give, accept, and apply feedbackAbility to work effectively in a remote environment, both as a team member and individual contributorExperience writing for industries like insurance, fintech, or education is preferredSalary Transparency:Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
