Position SummaryThe Marketing Communications Specialist is a content-focused role that supports Williamsburg Learning’s mission by creating high-quality communications for prospective and current families and internal team members. This role uses AI tools and marketing automation platforms to create compelling, persona-driven content at scale. The ideal candidate embraces innovation, understands brand voice, and knows how to align communications with key lifecycle moments across multiple channels.Essential Duties (Top 5 Roles)1) Marketing Communications ContentLeverage AI tools to generate compelling marketing email copy aligned with WL’s StoryBrand-inspired voice.Build and execute email campaigns in HubSpot, managing lists, segmentation, and performance tracking.Maintain a communications calendar for prospective family outreach.Collaborate with team members to ensure persona-aligned messaging.Create and send SMS content using HubSpot and similar tools.2) Parent Communications ContentUse AI tools to produce and curate effective onboarding and support communications for current families.Manage weekly parent newsletters across WL schools in collaboration with school leadership.Craft communications that support student orientation, benchmark assessments, and other key initiatives.Manage SMS and email campaigns for current families.3) Internal Communications ContentProduce and send a weekly internal team newsletter.Coordinate and send additional ad hoc team updates as needed.Use AI tools to streamline internal message drafts for clarity and tone consistency.Maintain an internal communication calendar.4) Social Media Content & ManagementManage WL’s social media profiles across platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.Draft written social media content using AI tools; coordinate with a designer or create light graphics in Canva.Schedule posts and report performance insights.Support brand awareness and engagement across WL’s digital channels.5) School Profile Content & ManagementOversee school listings on Niche, Great Schools, and Private School Review, ensuring content accuracy and quality.Audit and optimize content to align with current program details and positioning.Monitor performance, engagement, and conversions from school profiles.Implement SEO and conversion-friendly best practices.Non-Essential DutiesPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of the activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
