Position Summary – Marketing & Business Development Coordinator Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)Location: Remote Salary Range: $30-$40/hr. (37.5/hr. week) Position Overview Clean Energy Counsel, a mission-driven law firm dedicated to accelerating the world’s transition away from fossil fuels, seeks to hire a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our firm. This role will partner with attorneys and leadership to execute business development and marketing efforts and is responsible for driving client engagement, enhancing the firm’s brand presence, managing key marketing systems, and supporting revenue-generating activities across practice groups. This is a highly collaborative, execution-focused role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively assist attorneys in their business development efforts. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Brand Management Manage and maintain the firm’s social media presence, ensuring consistent, professional, and timely content Coordinate and execute digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and website updates Maintain and update the firm’s website to reflect current capabilities, attorney profiles, and thought leadership Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications Design and Content Support Create visual assets (e.g., social media graphics, email banners, presentation materials) Support development of marketing collateral and digital content Coordinate development and publication of client alerts, short-form video, and webinars Work with attorneys to repurpose content across multiple platforms (website, email, social media) Track engagement metrics and recommend improvements to increase reach and visibility Proposals, Pitches & Client Materials Prepare and support the development of proposals, RFP responses, pitch decks, and client presentations Maintain a library of marketing materials, deal sheets, and representative matters Ensure all materials are accurate, compelling, and aligned with firm branding CRM & Data Management Manage the firm’s CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client and prospect information Track client relationships, interactions, and business development activities Generate reports and insights to support strategic decision-making and relationship management Rankings & Directory Submissions Assist with the preparation and submission of rankings and directory entries (e.g., Chambers) Coordinate with attorneys to gather matter information, client references, and supporting materials Track deadlines and ensure timely, high-quality submissions Events & Client Engagement Assist attorneys in executing firm-sponsored events, seminars, webinars, and industry sponsorships Coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-up communications Compile, track, and maintain accurate attendance records for webinars, conferences, and client events Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to collect attendance data Track attendance on events to inform future strategy Business Development Support Track and monitor individual attorney BD budgets Assist with registration and attendance logistics for attorneys traveling to conferences Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 2–5+ years of marketing or business development experience Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, InterAction, Salesforce) Strong writing, editing, and communication skills Highly organized with strong project management capabilities Ability to work directly with senior attorneys and firm leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint or other slide creation; familiarity with marketing tools and analytics platforms preferred Experience with website hosting platforms (e.g., Squarespace) Experience (or willingness to learn) short video editing in Capcut or similar Key Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution capability Relationship management and influencing skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Visual/design sensibility Benefits Benefits for this role include the following: $30-$40 per hour. The base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to geographical location, prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
