Job Description Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager, Programs & Advocacy Supervisor: Vice President of Marketing and Communications Supervisory Responsibilities: None Status: Full-time, salary Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three or more years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications. Strong writing, speaking, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational ability. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize accordingly. Regional and local travel as needed. Valid New York State driver's license. Preferred qualifications: Ability to speak and write to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Wordpress, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics. Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical office setting but may be exposed to extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, listening, talking and/or visual concentration, writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 30 pounds. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, assists with marketing and communications projects for the Food Bank, particularly supporting the Programs and Advocacy teams. Identifies, researches, and develops new activities to increase awareness and other support for the Food Bank. Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the creation and production of a cohesive suite of print and web-based materials to support and market the Food Bank's programs including: postcards, brochures, website content, graphics, articles, social media content, videos, and other communications materials. Oversees design and printing. Ensures that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline. Oversees communication to the Food Bank's network of partner agencies and programs including using Mailchimp for email and using print mail when necessary. Learns and uses sales marketing tactics to continuously improve agency ordering practices and the management of inventory. Ensures the Regional Food Bank brand is strong and consistent in every marketing tactic and follows the organization's branding and messaging guidelines. Works with Programs, Advocacy and Data & Analytics departments to organize yearly governmental, programmatic, and distribution data for county and legislative fact sheets and other outreach purposes. Works with Advocacy & Engagement team to inform and educate partners and the public and design materials to support advocacy efforts. Assists in collecting partner agency and client impact stories. Manages website updates. Plans and executes SEO and other digital marketing tactics. Assists with food drives, third-party events and fundraising when needed. Notifies staff of relevant events. Participates in community activities to develop contacts and promote the work of the Food Bank as needed. Stays informed about marketing and communication trends nationally and within the Feeding America network. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Follows all safety standards and procedures. Works independently, and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank. Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
