Who You Are & What You'll DoWe are looking for an experienced Performance Lifecycle Marketing Manager who is excited by the prospect of owning the full email lifecycle across Reading.com, Typing.com, and Nitro Type and turning user behavior data into communications that drive activation, engagement, and retention. You're less concerned with patting yourself on the back for the perfect subject line and more concerned with quickly and efficiently delivering value to our users. The ideal candidate has experience designing and deploying lifecycle email programs from scratch, building measurement frameworks to test and iterate on performance, and scaling what works into new channels like push notifications. You'll be the single owner of lifecycle communications across all three products. That means you'll map user journeys, identify high-impact moments, write and design the emails, get them out the door, read the data, and improve them—on repeat. Once email is humming, you'll extend the playbook to push notifications and other channels. This is a hands-on, full-stack lifecycle role, not a strategy-only seat. Why You May Not Like ItIf you need a team of copywriters, designers, and analysts to execute a campaign, prefer to stay in one channel, are uncomfortable making decisions without perfect data, or want someone else to define the roadmap for you, this role may not be for you.Skills & Background4+ years of hands-on lifecycle or CRM marketing experience, ideally in a product-led or freemium environmentExpertise with AI tools that enable copywriting, email design and data analysisProven track record designing, deploying, and optimizing email programs that move user behavior metrics (activation, retention, conversion)Strong working knowledge of at least one ESP/marketing automation platform (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, Sendgrid)Serious data capabilities—able to pull insights, define KPIs, run A/B tests, and let results drive decisionsCan write clear, engaging copy and have a feel for layout and design (you don't need to be a designer, but you need good taste)Experience mapping user journeys and identifying lifecycle touchpoints across multiple products or user segmentsFlexible, well-organized, and experienced working in a fast-paced small company environmentExceptional communication skills, particularly written (as a remote company, we heavily emphasize written communication across all departments)A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skillsA positive attitude and entrepreneurial spiritBonus SkillsExperience building push notification and in-app messages programsBackground in edtech and/or consumer subscription app industriesCompensation, Benefits & PerksCompetitive salaryUnlimited paid time offCompany-owned laptopRemote office stipendFlexible office hoursOngoing education assistanceAnnual company retreatHow to ApplyApply online via RipplingPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular remote.NO RECRUITERS.Sorry, we will not transfer or sponsor visas. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
