As a Junior Relationship Manager, you’ll be supporting the relationship management team in successfully identifying, receiving and managing clients into categories with qualifying criteria and knowledge of these clients.  

What you’ll be doing

The Junior Relationship Manager is critical in the early identification of potential high value customers, and you will be responsible for building short-term trust relationships with newly acquired customers with a view on improving our overall customer experience and value extracted from our converted and retained base.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing activity rates, through targeted personal and focused communication and customer interventions. These initiatives will enable conversion of these newly acquired customers to the relationship management function.

  • Develop and implement strategies for early identification of customers for potential high value relationship management
  • Develop and implement strategies for retaining & growing new high value customers
  • Manage outbound calls to clients who have deposited a certain value or more on Day 0 across all verticals
  • Track and report on the success of implemented strategies
  • Prepare and communicate/distribute regular reports to line management
  • Maintain the integrity of the customer experience (and brand where required) using comps, loyalty, gifting and events.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing events/promotions which specifically target the HVC segment to build loyalty and a sense of community within the HVC Segment.
  • Allocate customers into relevant categories with qualified criteria
  • Ready customers around communication relating to Responsible Gambling, Anti-Money Laundering, FICA, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the customer experience
  • Monitor the 21-day cycle until the customer is allocated to the HVC model with the data compiled

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a role dealing with customer experience and customer service
  • Excellent and professional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to understand and manage client expectations
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills
  • Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical and disciplined approach to work
  • Confidentiality, tact and discretion
  • Innovative and solution driven – Strong ability to resolve escalated queries and to do independently as much as possible
  • Excellent time management and deadline-driven with the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment
  • Uses own initiative and works well under pressure
  • Adapt well to change
  • Strong team player
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively prioritize tasks
