Position Overview


The Junior IT Administrator supports the daily operation of the IT department in a modern, cloud-first, multi-office environment. The role focuses on first-level technical support, endpoint and user administration, onboarding and offboarding processes, and IT asset management, primarily within Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune. Training will be provided on company-specific systems, tools, and procedures.


 


Key Responsibilities


End-User & Technical Support



  • Provide first-level technical support to employees across multiple offices and remote locations.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.

  • Support end users with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).


Microsoft 365 & Entra ID



  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding in Entra ID, including account setup, access removal, and group membership changes.



  • Support basic Microsoft 365 administration, such as license assignments, mailbox access, and password resets.



  • Follow identity and access management policies defined by the IT and Security teams.


Endpoint & Device Management (Intune)



  • Assist with device enrollment and management through Microsoft Intune.

  • Support device configuration, compliance policies, and application deployments.



  • Perform operating system and application updates according to company standards.


Asset & License Management



  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets (laptops, accessories, mobile devices).



  • Track software licenses and assist with compliance and audits.

  • Support device allocation and recovery during employee onboarding and offboarding.


Documentation & Processes



  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, tickets, and procedures.



  • Update internal documentation and knowledge base articles when required.

  • Adhere to IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.


Other Duties



  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager related to IT operations.


 


Required Skills & Experience



  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field will be considered an advantage.



  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.

  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and user support.

  • Basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting.

  • Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Preferred (Nice to Have)



  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune or endpoint management tools.

  • Basic understanding of Entra ID / Azure AD concepts.

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and asset management tools.

  • Entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals).


Training & Support



  • Full training will be provided on company systems, internal tools, and IT processes.



  • Ongoing guidance and support from the IT team
