Your perspective could be exactly what we need!As we continue to scale globally, we are seeking a strategic, market-driven Head of Product Marketing to define our positioning, sharpen our differentiation, and accelerate revenue growth. Location: US (Remote)Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer This role will lead Mend.io’s product marketing strategy and execution across our application security and software supply chain security portfolio. This leader will own messaging, positioning, competitive strategy, pricing & packaging input, analyst relations partnership, and go-to-market enablement.This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Demand Generation, and Executive Leadership to drive pipeline growth, market expansion, and category leadership.Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Define and evolve Mend.io’s category narrative, positioning, and differentiated value propositionShape and refine ICP segmentation and buyer personas across enterprise security, AppSec, DevSecOps, and engineering leadersDrive go-to-market strategy for new product launches and major releases.Translate product capabilities into compelling business value for CISOs and security decision-makersMessaging & Positioning:Develop clear, differentiated messaging frameworks aligned to key verticals and use casesOwn core messaging across website, sales materials, field enablement, and campaignsElevate Mend’s thought leadership in open source security, SCA, and software supply chain securitySales Enablement & Revenue Acceleration:Build scalable sales enablement programs including playbooks, pitch decks, battlecards, ROI tools, and objection handling frameworksPartner with Sales Leadership to increase win rates and shorten sales cyclesSupport enterprise deals with strategic messaging and competitive insightsProduct Launch & Portfolio Marketing:Lead cross-functional product launch processesEnsure cohesive positioning across Mend’s platform and modulesInfluence roadmap prioritization through market and competitive insightsCompetitive & Market Intelligence:Establish a structured competitive intelligence functionAnalyze market trends, industry shifts, and emerging threats impacting AppSecEquip sales teams with actionable competitive differentiationAnalyst & Industry Influence:Lead Analyst Relations to strengthen positioning in industry reports, e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDCRepresent Mend.io at key industry events, conferences, and executive briefingsTeam Leadership:Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product marketing teamEstablish measurable goals tied to pipeline contribution, win rates, and product adoptionRequirements:10-15+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience with 5+ years in senior product marketing leadershipStrong background in cybersecurity, application security, DevSecOps, or developer-focused SaaSProven experience marketing to enterprise buyers, CISOs, security leaders, platform engineeringDemonstrated success in scaling product marketing at a growth-stage companyExperience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cyclesStrong executive communication and storytelling skillsAnalytical mindset with experience leveraging market and performance data to drive strategy.
