Position SummaryOur client is a venture-backed auction platform startup founded by a proven entrepreneur who previously exited a company for over $1B. With more than two years of development completed and a strong global team of engineers and designers in place, the company is preparing for a soft launch in Q1 2026, beginning in the Pokémon TCG market, with plans to expand into additional verticals.They are seeking a Head of Marketing to own and lead the marketing function end to end. This is a senior, high-impact role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, covering go-to-market planning, outreach, seller acquisition, social media, performance marketing, and revenue support.The role is fully remote, with candidates required to be US-based and primarily available on Eastern Time to collaborate with leadership. Working hours are flexible; however, as the company approaches key launch milestones, the role will require occasional weekend availability. This is not a constant expectation, but flexibility during critical launch periods is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the soft launch and future expansionBuild and manage a marketing roadmap aligned with launch milestones and revenue targetsTake full ownership of marketing performance and outcomes across all channelsProactively identify opportunities, risks, and gaps before they impact growthOutreach, Seller Acquisition & PartnershipsLead outbound outreach to sellers, partners, and strategic collaboratorsSupport early seller acquisition through direct engagement and relationship buildingDevelop outreach messaging and sequences across email and social channelsTrack outreach performance and optimize conversion from contact to active sellersSocial Media & Brand ManagementOwn and execute the social media strategy across relevant platformsDrive measurable audience growth, engagement, and brand awarenessEnsure consistent, professional brand voice and positioning across all channelsUse social and community engagement to build trust, credibility, and marketplace momentumPerformance Marketing & AnalyticsOversee paid and organic marketing across Meta, Google, email, and social platformsOwn and optimize key metrics including ROAS, CAC, LTV, MER, AOV, CTR, CVR, and churnBuild and maintain performance dashboards using GA4, Data Studio, and attribution toolsLead structured testing across ads, creatives, funnels, and landing pagesTeam Leadership & CollaborationAct as the marketing leader, managing execution resources and external partnersHire and scale marketing and revenue-support roles as the company growsOversee offshore or support staff, ensuring quality, accountability, and clear KPIsCollaborate closely with the founder (US-based), operations lead (UK), and product and design teamsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles within eCommerce, SaaS, marketplaces, or digital product companiesProven ownership of go-to-market strategy and executionDemonstrated success growing social media channels and driving engagementExperience supporting revenue through outreach, seller acquisition, partnerships, or sales enablementStrong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in performance marketing and analyticsSelf-starter comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environmentsExcellent communication skills and experience working across multiple time zonesMust be based in the US (Eastern Time)Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)Experience with auction platforms, collectibles, or niche marketplacesBackground in building and managing distributed or remote marketing teamsExperience launching consumer-facing digital products from beta to scaleWhat We OfferCompetitive monthly compensation of $5,500–$7,500, negotiable based on experienceDirect collaboration with a proven founder at a critical growth stageHigh-impact leadership role with ownership of marketing strategy, execution, and team growthRemote-first environment with flexible working hours and a collaborative global team
