This position is open across offices in GHD (Canada or US) with a requirement of being in an EST time zone. Our Corporate GL Team is looking for a Financial Analyst to support our Controllership team with financial and management accounting requirements of the business in accordance with the GHD Conduct of Business Policy.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:


  • Preparing journal entries.
  • Reviewing bank transactions to ensure complete and accurate general ledger information.
  • Preparing and analyzing general ledger reconciliations and investigating variances.
  • Support various business functions (people team, payroll, finance services, etc.) through regular interactions and aid in providing information.
  • Initiating wire payments.
  • Supporting Assistant Controllers in problem solving accounting issues and proposing solutions.
  • Ensuring appropriate accounting compliance with company policies.
    • Additional responsibilities as requested
  • Analysis of financial accounts/transactions to ensure accurate and complete reporting.
  • Analysis of large sets of data and creating reports.

What you will bring to the team:


  • Min. 3 years of experience.
  • Desirable to have experience in accounting consulting companies (not required).
  • Proven accounting analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products (Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Preferable experience with excel using formulas and creating Pivot tables, etc.
  • Preferable experience using TM1, BST.
  • Experience with IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Interested in pursuing or currently pursuing a CPA (US or Canada).
