Email Marketing Specialist Location: RemoteReports To: Director of Lifecycle & Email Marketing About the Role We’re looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of our email marketing program. This is a hands-on role focused on building, testing, and deploying email campaigns and lifecycle sends. You will not be responsible for channel strategy, but you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality emails accurately, on time, and in line with brand standards. Key Responsibilities What you’ll do Build and deploy email campaigns from provided briefs, templates, and copy, including promotional, newsletter, and transactional sends. Format and QA email content (layout, links, personalization, dynamic content, accessibility basics) to ensure a clean experience across devices and inboxes. Set up audiences/segments based on the provided criteria and confirm that the counts align with expectations. Execute A/B tests (subject lines, preview text, creative variations) and document results. Manage campaign checklists and approvals, ensuring deadlines are met, and launches run smoothly. Troubleshoot basic ESP issues (rendering, broken links, tracking parameters, audience mismatches) and escalate when needed. Maintain email templates and modules, working with existing design systems and updating components as directed. Apply tracking/UTM standards and confirm analytics are firing correctly. Support list hygiene and deliverability best practices (unsubscribe compliance, suppression management) following team guidelines. Keep documentation current, including processes, naming conventions, and send logs. Compliance & Best Practices Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL). Stay current with industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and emerging email technologies. Success looks like Emails launch on time with minimal QA issues. Templates and modules stay consistent and on brand. Accurate audience setup and tracking across campaigns. Organized documentation and smooth cross-team coordination. Steady improvement in execution speed and quality over time. Nice-to-haves Familiarity with lifecycle concepts (welcome, nurture, post-purchase, winback) even if not leading strategy. Experience with basic segmentation logic and dynamic content. Exposure to accessibility or deliverability best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of proven experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing. Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Marketo). Strong understanding of deliverability, segmentation, automation, and personalization best practices. Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a knack for persuasive, customer-focused messaging. Strong analytical mindset with experience using A/B testing and email analytics tools. Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a plus. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
