Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.Position SummaryThe Downstream Marketing Director, Advanced Wound Devices, serves as the global business leader for the Advanced Wound Devices portfolio which includes the flagship V.A.C® Ulta and ActiVAC™ devices, as well as the Prevena™ device. This role has full accountability for the global P&L and leads the global portfolio marketing team responsible for brand strategy, lifecycle management, and global commercialization planning. In this role, you will define strategic priorities, allocate marketing investments, and partner cross-functionally to ensure profitable growth across all relevant geographies. As a people leader, you will develop and empower a high-performing team, build strong collaboration with regional commercial teams and global functional partners to execute the strategy and achieve business results. Responsibilities will include the following:Business LeadershipOwn global P&L for portfolio, ensuring achievement of revenue, gross margin, and operating income goalsDevelop long-range strategic plans and annual operating plans, forecasts, and financial outlooks in collaboration with finance, supply chain, region and global function leadersLead portfolio pricing, margin optimization, and resource allocation decisions to maximize profitabilityMonitor performance against plan and take proactive actions to address gaps or capitalize on emerging opportunitiesServe as the business lead for investment prioritization, cost management, and portfolio trade-off decisionsGlobal Portfolio & Brand StrategyDefine global brand and portfolio strategies, ensuring clear positioning, differentiation, and alignment with customer needsCollaborate with Upstream Marketing to shape innovation roadmaps, develop commercialization plans and ensure successful transition of ownership post-commercialization of new productsPartner with Strategy & Business Development to identify and evaluate opportunities for partnerships and support diligence and post-deal integrationOversee development of global campaign frameworks, messaging, and promotional toolkits for adaptation by regional teamsPerformance ManagementPartner with Strategic Marketing team to analyze market trends, share performance, and pricing dynamics to inform strategy and financial forecastingLead business performance reviews, presenting results, insights, and forward plansEstablish dashboards and KPIs that track both commercial and financial performance at the portfolio / product levelRegion and Cross-functional CollaborationPartner with regional marketing, sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment on targets and execution plansCollaborate with clinical, medical affairs, and regulatory teams to ensure evidence generation supports commercial claims and pricing strategiesWork closely with supply chain and operations to manage cost of goods, product availability, and lifecycle profitabilityServe as the global point of accountability for commercial outcomes, bridging regional execution with business strategyPeople and Team LeadershipLead and develop the global portfolio marketing team, providing clear objectives, coaching, and performance feedbackBuild marketing and business acumen across the team, emphasizing data-driven strategic decision-makingFoster collaboration, empowerment, and accountability across global and regional stakeholdersYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Management, or a business discipline AND 12 years of progressive experience in marketing or commercial leadership rolesANDIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also requiredProven P&L management experience (full or significant business unit / portfolio accountability)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Economics, or related field)Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or other regulated industriesKnowledge of the advanced wound care market, including negative pressure wound therapiesAbility to thrive in an action-oriented and high accountability environmentExceptional strategic thinking, analytical ability and financial acumen, with a track record of collaborating cross-functionally to deliver actionable recommendationsDemonstrated success driving profitable growth and executing complex go-to-market strategies globallyStrong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, and storytelling ability; with experience presenting to C-level executivesExperience leading high-performing teams and developing future leadersWork location: RemoteTravel: 30% domestic and internationalRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being Solventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
