This role translates portfolio priorities into measurable demand generation programs, oversees global congress and event investments as strategic growth levers, and ensures alignment between global campaign strategy and regional execution.DESCRIPTIONHow you will make an impact:This is a commercially oriented leadership role with accountability for marketing contribution to pipeline performance and customer acquisition. The position includes direct management of Marketing Communications, Events Management and Field Marketing.What you will do:Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned to portfolio priorities and target segmentsDrive demand generation initiatives contributing measurable MQLs and pipeline influenceDefine and track KPIs tied to campaign effectiveness, customer acquisition, and ROIPartner closely with sales leadership to ensure marketing programs support account targeting and disciplined follow-upUse analytics to optimize marketing investment and improve commercial performanceManage the global congress and event portfolioAlign event participation with revenue objectives, product launches, and campaign themesDesign activation frameworks for major congresses, symposia, executive programs, workshops, and virtual eventsImplement structured pre-event targeting and post-event conversion processesManage event budgets with financial discipline and ROI accountabilityProvide strategic direction and alignment to three APAC field marketing team membersTranslate global marketing priorities into scalable regional activation plansEstablish standardized playbooks to ensure consistent execution and performance tracking across regionsOversee campaign messaging, digital engagement, and customer-facing materials to ensure clarity of positioning and portfolio differentiationPartner with Product Marketing and Product Management to support new product launch activationLead website enhancement and digital engagement initiativesLead PSX Marketing Communications plans and press releases in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and Thermo Fisher corporate Communications colleaguesLead and develop a high-performing communications and events teamEstablish structured planning, prioritization, and measurement frameworksContribute to marketing leadership discussions regarding investment decisions and portfolio optimizationREQUIREMENTSHow you will get here:Education:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or life sciences requiredAdvanced degree preferredExperience:8–12+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in life sciences or related marketsDemonstrated success executing integrated marketing programs tied to commercial outcomesPrior experience with AI-driven marketing tools and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)Strong marketing operations and analytics expertise, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, optimize funnel performance and drive measurable business impactExperience managing global congress and event portfoliosPrior people leadership experience requiredExperience influencing cross-regional teams within a matrixed organizationExperience responsibly managing to a budgetCore Competencies:Strategic and commercially oriented mindsetExecutive communication capabilityHigh accountability and execution excellenceStrong financial discipline and ROI focusAbility to influence across functions and regionsCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in District of Columbia is $160,100.00–$240,125.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
