DescriptionOur client is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to removing the financial barriersstanding between cancer patients and their treatment — such as loss of income, increasedout-of-pocket expenses, and socioeconomic factors. When faced with these financialbarriers, families have to make impossible decisions like choosing between paying fortreatment or basic essentials like housing, food, and transportation. No family should haveto choose between their health and their home — and we won’t stop until that’s the reality.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Director of Marketing and Communications will lead the development andexecution of a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that strengthensOur brand amplifies our mission and drives engagement among key audiencesand fundraising efforts.Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will oversee all aspects of internal and externalcommunications, brand management, media relations, and marketing campaigns. Theywill serve as the organizational connector across multiple departments, ensuring cohesivemessaging and alignment in how we communicate its impact.This role manages both a PR agency and a content creation and marketing agency, servingas the project manager and strategic liaison between them, while ensuring that all outputsauthentically reflect our voice, values, and mission. All communication andmarketing efforts will center on advancing awareness of the Financial Resource Center andits role in breaking down the financial barriers that prevent cancer patients from accessingcare.
