Are you a digital marketing or communications student with an excellent eye for detail and strong writing and communication skills? The Digital Customer Relationship Management team seeks an enthusiastic marketing student to assist our full-time staff with daily email and SMS marketing support. Though this role encompasses diverse digital marketing tasks, it will primarily focus on the candidate's experience and skill sets. We're looking for candidates who are quick, eager learners and have a background in digital marketing and/or communication. This paid internship is for Summer 2026. ResponsibilitiesAssist with short message service (SMS) marketing, email communications, and managementCollaborate with a variety of internal clients and external agencies to help meet their marketing objectivesGain experience working with leading marketing software such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Target, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, and CoPilot (AI) Prepare executive-level presentations while learning important management skills, including project management, meeting management, budgeting, and reportingImprove the customer experience by mapping journeys, monitoring listening platforms, and sharing insightsProof emails and SMS campaigns, create and manage content on internal sites, and help with tracking and analytics QualificationsProspective interns must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university; be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students; and remain academically enrolled throughout the internshipPursuing a degree in marketing or a related field, digital marketing preferredExperience creating marketing plans, relevant coursework, and managing projects in a work or classroom settingAbility to work with internal stakeholders, including business unit leads, digital channel leads, and Product, Development, Membership, or Analytics team membersCreative thinking and problem-solving; leveraging technology to solve business problems in a production environmentPrior experience with email, social, or mobile marketing preferredStrong organizational and documentation skills, i.e., note-taking, QA/Testing documentation AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.
