Worldwide

Founded in 2020, ParentData is a data-driven guide to pregnancy, parenting, and beyond. Our mission is simple - to provide parents with high-quality data that they can trust, whenever they need it.

With our data responsibilities expanding and existing infrastructure needing maintenance, we now need someone who can show us what great looks like, setting the standard for analytics best practices at ParentData. You’ll ensure our data health is best in class whilst creating new ways to look at our data and derive insights that directly impact business strategy.

This is a full-time and fully remote position. The salary range is $70,000-$80,000, depending on experience. We are looking for someone to join our team in March 2025.

A few things to know before applying:

  • While you’ll have access to highly technical partners, you won’t have dedicated Data Architects and/or Engineers at your disposal. You’ll need to be someone who can thrive with less supporting resources, ready to get stuck in at all levels to get the job done.
  • This is a fully remote role role. You’ll need to be someone who can operate in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Conduct predictive and prescriptive analytics to forecast trends and recommend strategic actions.
  • Create measurement strategies to align stakeholders on the correct success metrics and KPIs
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance.
  • Own the pipeline between production and BigQuery, diagnosing and fixing issues as we go to ensure optimum reliability.
  • Build a data dictionary and understand data locality. Set design principles for the reporting layer, setting the standard for how we structure this data and make it consistent.
  • Work closely with Product and our external developers to stay on top of changes and releases before translating them into the reporting layer. Feed into data design conversations when product development is ongoing, making sure data capture and output at a raw level are taken into consideration.
  • Derive best practices for A/B testing and pre/post launch measurement plans

Requirements:

  • 2+ years industry experience with data analysis and SQL, including data modeling
  • High proficiency with Google Analytics and data tooling like Looker and BigQuery
  • Strong ability to architect scalable data solutions and combine data from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills - can explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset to prioritize high-impact work in a fast-paced environment

What we offer:

  • Health and dental coverage
  • 401(k) non-matching contribution
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Shared workspace or home internet contribution
