The mission of Shorefast is to build, learn, and share economic development practices that catalyze the assets of local places, starting with Fogo Island.Learn more about us: fogoislandinn.caThe OpportunityThe Sales & Marketing Specialist provides sales and marketing enablement support acrossFogo Island Inn and SSEI entities. This role is responsible for CRM administration, reporting, digital communications execution, content and presentation development, partner portals, and operational support that enables the commercial team to perform effectively and consistently.The Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the systems, tools, and communications that support sales, partnerships, and marketing initiatives. The role also supports the coordination and tracking of external events and activations, ensuring timelines, deliverables, valuation, and reporting is managed in collaboration with PR and Marketing leadership.This position reports to the VP, Sales & Marketing.What You'll DoCRM & Data ManagementMaintain and administer Salesforce across Fogo Island Inn and SSEI entitiesEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data entry and reportingGenerate regular sales, pipeline, and performance reports for leadershipSupport CRM adoption, hygiene, and process consistency across teamsSales Enablement & ReportingSupport the creation and maintenance of sales enablement tools, including:Sales decks and presentationsProposals and partner-facing materialsInternal reporting dashboardsPrepare materials to support forecasting, pacing, and strategic reviewsTrack and organize sales documentation and templatesDigital Communications & Content SupportCoordinate and execute newsletters and digital communicationsSupport email campaign deployment and performance trackingMaintain and update partner portals and trade-facing platformsCollaborate with Marketing and PR on content execution and schedulingSupport updates to websites and digital assets, as requiredExternal Events & Activations SupportSupport the coordination of external events and activations across SSEI entitiesTrack timelines, deliverables, and required inputs across stakeholdersAssist with valuation tracking (costs, exposure, outcomes)Support post-event reporting in collaboration with PR and MarketingEnsure event-related data and outcomes are documented in CRM and internal systemsOperational & Administrative SupportSupport sales travel logistics, tradeshows, and internal initiativesTrack expenses, invoices, and departmental budgetsMaintain the Sales & Marketing calendar and key milestone trackingAct as backup support for digital updates and platform managementContribute ideas and support to the organization-wide content calendarPerform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational objectivesQualifications and ExperiencePost-secondary diploma or bachelor's degree (required)2+ years experience in sales/marketing and/or hospitality/tourismExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Self-motivated, extremely well organized and able to manage a multitude of tasks and determine priorities while maintaining attention to detailWilling to take on any tasks to work alongside the team and achieve goalsProactive, learning mindset — ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and work to solutions in unfamiliar situationsProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe SuiteExperience working with a CRM (Salesforce preferred)Experience working with a PMS (IQWare preferred)Must have a valid Canadian driver's licenseExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPassion for social business and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others and in the communityEntrepreneurial spirit and positive attitudeCommitment to upholding the vision and goals of Fogo Island Inn, Shorefast Foundation, and other affiliated organizationsAbility to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentSensitivity to the history and culture of rural NewfoundlandWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryHealth and dental benefits, along with access to an employee assistance program for mental health support and work/life servicesTeam member discounts within our businesses (Fogo Island Inn and Fogo Island Workshops)Travel to Fogo Island, and allowances for travelHousing assistance and relocation reimbursementThe technology necessary to complete your workAccess to an employee work-out room, to support personal well-beingAn engaged, highly supportive, and collaborative environment that encourages creativity and curiosityThe opportunity to work in a thriving social enterpriseContinued learning and professional development opportunities
