The core activities of the Controls Application Manager are to define and manage the lifecycle activities including portfolio planning, passport development engagement, and sustaining activities. Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing both short- and long-term product strategy initiativesWorking with the program management team and marketing functions on new product introductionsInteracting with cross functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales) to ensure initiatives meet schedule, cost and quality targetsEngage with industry partners to ensure compatibility and provide necessary VOC to business unit leadershipBenchmarking competitive solutions and providing competitive comparisonsEngaging with marketing resources to develop effective sales and promotional materialsDeveloping and executing effective customer focused messages and campaignsTraveling to customer and dealer locations to assist sales organization with high level presentations, or new product introductionsDeveloping and delivering presentation materials for large audiencesProviding interviews with trade media or representing the company on discussion panels at trade showsInteracting closely with Carrier’s sales force, field service engineers, and dealer network to assist with applications and sales effortsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree5+ years of technical experience in embedded systems, telematics, and/or hardware/firmware design.2+ years of experience in a front-line business position in Sales, Marketing, or Applications.
