Senior Freelance B2B Content Writer (Healthcare / Enterprise Technology)  Engagement type: Freelance / contractor Estimated workload: ~2 articles or thought leadership pieces per month plus one long-form asset per quarter Location: Remote (U.S. preferred) Reporting to: Head of Marketing / Content Lead  Overview  We are seeking an experienced Senior B2B Content Writer to support ongoing thought leadership and demand generation programs. This role will produce high-quality editorial content that translates complex industry topics into clear, compelling insights for executive audiences.  The ideal candidate combines strong journalistic instincts, enterprise B2B marketing experience, and the ability to interview subject matter experts to develop credible, differentiated content.  Our primary audience includes senior leaders at large health plans (VP–C-suite). Content must demonstrate industry fluency, analytical rigor, and editorial polish.    Core Responsibilities  Monthly content production  Write 2 articles per month (800–1,200 words) including:  Thought leadership articles  Industry analysis pieces  Interview-driven articles  Conference or webinar recaps  Long-form content  Produce one major asset per quarter, such as:  White papers  eBooks  Research summaries  Strategic guides (2,500–4,000 words)  Content development  Conduct subject matter expert interviews and extract compelling insights  Translate complex business or technical topics into clear executive-level narratives  Collaborate with marketing leadership on content structure, messaging, and positioning  Incorporate data, research, and external sources to strengthen credibility  Editorial standards  Deliver content that is publication-ready with minimal editing  Maintain a professional, authoritative tone appropriate for enterprise audiences  Meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously    Ideal Candidate Profile  Experience  8+ years of professional writing experience, with significant B2B marketing or journalism background  Proven experience writing for enterprise or executive audiences  Experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, or complex regulated industries strongly preferred  Track record producing white papers, industry analysis, and thought leadership  Core skills  Exceptional interviewing and storytelling ability  Ability to quickly learn new domains and synthesize expert input  Strong analytical writing and structured argumentation  Comfortable working with senior executives and subject matter experts  Ability to transform conversations, transcripts, or rough outlines into polished content  Working style  Self-directed and highly reliable  Comfortable collaborating with marketing and product leaders  Responsive to feedback while maintaining strong editorial judgment    Deliverables & Expectations  Typical monthly engagement may include:  2 articles (800–1,200 words each)  Participation in 1-2 SME interviews  Revisions based on editorial feedback  Collaboration on quarterly long-form asset development  Estimated time commitment: 20-30 hours per month    Evaluation Criteria for Recruiter Screening  Recruiters should prioritize candidates who demonstrate:  Portfolio quality  Published B2B articles or industry commentary  White papers or long-form thought leadership  Writing that clearly explains complex topics  Subject matter depth  Experience in healthcare, enterprise software, or analytics/data domains  Editorial voice  Clear, authoritative tone suitable for executive audiences  Ability to synthesize ideas rather than simply summarize  Professional reliability  Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, deadline-driven content    Portfolio Request  Candidates should provide:  3–5 thought leadership articles  1–2 long-form assets (white paper, report, or eBook)  Links to published work or bylined articles
