Position Summary: The Assistant Vice President of Banking Product Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, marketability, and profitability of the Bank’s consumer and small business banking products. This role will develop and recommend product pricing, features, positioning, and performance goals to support growth and profitability across all banking channels. The AVP will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer needs, align with market trends, and comply with regulatory requirements. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Lifecyle ManagementManage the full lifecycle of deposit and loan products, including development, pricing, positioning, and performing analysis. Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to ensure products remain relevant and competitive. Recommend new product offerings or modifications to existing products based on market demands. Profitability & Pricing StrategyConduct profitability analyses and recommend pricing strategies to optimize margins and market competitiveness. Collaborate with finance, operations, and retail team to define revenue targets and manage product-related costs. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for each product line. Cross-functional CollaborationPartner with marketing, retail lending, compliance, and operations to develop and launch product campaigns, internal training, and external communications. Work with IT and digital banking teams to support product implementation and enhancements across digital channels. Ensure product documentation and disclosures are accurate and compliant. Customer & Market InsightLead initiatives to gather customer insights through research, surveys, and frontline feedback. Identify emerging customer needs and propose solutions that align with strategic goals. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on all consumer and small business products. Operational & Compliance Responsibilities Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements. Maintain a secure and confidential work area, protecting sensitive customer and bank information. Demonstrate a strong commitment to Community Bank & Trust – W. Georgia’s Mission, Vision, and Values through daily interactions, customer engagement, and ethical decision-making. Travel as needed between branches and to customer sites for meetings, product training, or support. Serve as a visible representative of the Bank at community events, supporting business development and brand reputation. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience working in community-focused banks or regional financial institutions. Familiarity with core banking systems and CRM tools. Ability to drive cultural change and build high-trust teams. Strong understanding of consumer and small business banking products and services. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated commitment to community involvement and outreach. Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field required. MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus. 5 + years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in product management or product developmentPhysical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
