As an Orbit-level certified Braze partner (the highest level of partnership), we work alongside marketers from some of the world’s most beloved brands to stitch together innovative solutions, better processes, and smarter strategies that make marketing magic happen in Braze.About This RoleAs an Associate Director Marketing Strategist, you sit at the intersection of people leadership and hands-on martech strategy. You will lead a team of 6–8 strategists while personally operating as a senior practitioner on client engagements — shaping lifecycle roadmaps, facilitating executive workshops, and translating complex data signals into strategic blueprints that drive measurable business outcomes.  You’ll act as a visionary martech advisor who defines end-to-end roadmaps for how brands shift their marketing stacks toward orchestration, broaden their use of Braze and the wider martech ecosystem, and design, optimize, and measure customer journeys at scale.Each Associate Director rolls up to a Delivery Director on a shared set of accounts to drive operational excellence and build a consulting community.  What You’ll DoMartech Stack Assessment & RoadmappingPartner with Solution Architects on discovery and assessment of clients’ existing martech environments — auditing capability gaps, integration health, technology debt, and platform utilizationDevelop multi-year martech roadmaps that sequence investments across data infrastructure, platform consolidation, activation capability, and analytics maturity — aligned to business goals and customer experience prioritiesBuild use-case prioritization frameworks using quantitative scoring models that weigh business value, technical feasibility, and measurable customer impactLead sessions with Client Partners and Solution Architects to help clients understand how to transform martech investments from SaaS to a consumption model purpose-built to advance their goalsDeliver executive-ready presentations that translate complex technology architectures into clear, compelling strategic narrativesCustomer Journey Mapping & Lifecycle StrategyFacilitate end-to-end journey mapping workshops — defining personas, moments of truth, emotional states, channel touchpoints, and data signals across the full customer lifecycleDesign trigger-based, always-on, and lifecycle journey experiences across email, SMS, push, and in-app channelsCreate current-state / future-state journey maps that surface experience gaps and prioritize the highest-value improvementsDevelop journey governance frameworks and testing roadmaps so clients can scale, iterate, and optimize programs over time without accumulating architectural debtLead journey maturity assessments evaluating clients across data, decisioning, technology, content, and measurement dimensions — with clear advancement plansData Analytics & Performance StrategyLeverage first-party data, behavioral signals, and CDP/CRM data to develop audience segmentation strategies, lifecycle stage definitions, and personalization frameworksDesign marketing analytics and KPI architectures that connect campaign-level metrics to business outcomes, enabling data-backed investment decisionsSynthesize performance data from platforms such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Experience Platform into actionable strategic recommendationsBuild business cases for martech investments — including ROI modeling, A/B testing frameworks, and value realization roadmapsCreate marketing campaign performance narratives, including experimentation frameworks (A/B, multivariate) tied to business outcomesPeople Leadership & Practice DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team setting clear expectations, providing consistent feedback, and coaching for growthWork with Delivery Directors to create frameworks and protocols that make strategists in the Marketing Strategy competency better at their jobs — design for adoption and innovation, not documentation that sits on shelvesParticipate in the interviewing process and manage performance management for your teamEnsure team members consistently apply the methodologies, processes, and role-based training developed by the Practice and Talent teams, reinforcing expectations through on-the-job coaching and feedbackWhat Success Looks LikePersonal utilization target of 32 hours per weekTeam utilization target of 36 hours per week across your direct reportsEnsure key processes and design reviews are occurring to drive delivery excellenceTravel up to 20% for client meetings, workshops, and onsite engagementsDrive a quarterly initiative with your team focused on innovation or practice developmentWho Your Team Will BeStitchers come with diverse backgrounds and experiences—but we are tied together by our Common Threads.
