The AI Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and delivery of AI-powered solutions within the Solumina product suite, focused in the manufacturing aerospace and defense industries. This role focuses on identifying high-impact opportunities to apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve complex operational challenges. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and industry experts to ensure that AI capabilities are aligned with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals. The ideal candidate combines deep domain knowledge with a strong understanding of AI technologies and a passion for building innovative, secure, and responsible solutions that meet the rigorous standards of mission-critical environments. Essential Functions: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered features and products tailored to manufacturing, aerospace, and defense industry needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify and prioritize key product and business objectives for new product introduction. Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers Ensure responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, explainability, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, DoD cybersecurity standards). Support and mentor Associates in developing skills and professional capabilities on topics in your workstream Working cross-functionally with all departments to execute and communicate the product vision and deliverables High-energy, motivated self-starter and team player who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves Stay current with AI trends, technologies, and best practices in manufacturing, aerospace, and defense. Support go-to-market activities for AI features, including sales enablement, customer education, and industry-specific demonstrations. Requirements: Experience with Manufacturing, MES, Quality, or MRO in the aerospace and defense sectors. Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Experience defining, launching, and scaling AI/ML-powered products or features ideally in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense sectors. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, technologies, and development workflows, especially as applied to industrial and mission-critical environments. Experience working collaboratively with software developers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers in an agile development environment. Proven analytical skills, able to quantitatively and qualitatively assess problems and communicate responses across a range of issues Excellent writing, presentation, and communications skills. Experience working with customers and business partners. Experience with B2B applications ideally in manufacturing and/or supply chain execution would be an asset Required Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s or higher-level degree is strongly preferred but equivalent work experience may be considered. Prior experience in AI product management or related roles in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense is highly desirable.
