About the roleWe are seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Contractor to support day-to-day execution across email and SMS channels, working closely with a senior lifecycle strategist who provides high-level direction and testing strategy.This role is execution-focused and designed for someone who can independently translate strategy into high-quality lifecycle work with minimal hand-holding. It is not an entry-level position; the ideal candidate has enough strategic context to understand why programs are being built, while owning execution, coordination, and quality control.Time Commitment & Capacity Expectations 15–20 hours per week (approximately 3–4 hours per day) Requires consistent, reliable availability — not sporadic or ad hoc support Ability to maintain steady weekly output Opportunity for expanded scope over time based on performance and business needs Ideal BackgroundExperience 3–6 years of experience in Lifecycle / CRM / Email & SMS marketing Strong preference for: Agency or in-house experience supporting DTC / eCommerce brands CPG experience is a plus Experience working with high-growth, retention- and subscription-driven brands Familiarity with common DTC lifecycle levers: AOV, LTV, segmentation, post-purchase flows, bundles, promotions Experience executing against strategy developed by a senior lifecycle lead Tools & PlatformsRequired Deep hands-on experience with Klaviyo (non-negotiable) Experience with SMS platforms such as Attentive or similar Comfortable Working Across Campaigns Core flows: Welcome Post-purchase Abandonment Sale- and promo-related updates Lead capture pop-ups (e.g., Alia) Bonus (Not Required) Familiarity with retention tools such as: LiveRecover, Repeat, Instant AI, Black Crow, Stay AI, or similar platforms Core Skill SetThis role sits in the middle of the lifecycle org chart — not junior, not director-level.Must-Have Skills Strong understanding of email & SMS lifecycle strategy (not just implementation) Confident segmentation and targeting logic End-to-end campaign execution: Briefing and project-managing creative Building in Klaviyo QA and scheduling Light optimization (send times, CTAs, formatting) Flow updates and maintenance tied to: Promotions Launches Calendar changes Ability to interpret performance context Light data fluency (comfortable reading reports and identifying trends) Nice-to-Have Experience with subscription brands, including: First-to-second purchase Subscriber onboarding Churn prevention Winback and reactivation Prior agency experience working under a senior strategist Advanced segmentation and targeting logic Stronger analytical fluency: Interpreting trends Connecting lifecycle activity to business outcomes (LTV, retention, churn)Working Style Self-directed executor who can take a brief and run with it Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, imperfect environment Strong project management instincts: Deadlines Dependencies QA Able to collaborate asynchronously with designers, copywriters, and strategists Comfortable owning day-to-day execution decisions without constant approvals
